Patient Care

At Eye Associates of Lancaster, your personalized care is important to us. That's why we always focus on providing the finest level of eye care possible to you and your entire family.
The Importance of Eye Care
Vision is precious and at Eye Associates of Lancaster, our doctors provide comprehensive eye care for all ages--- from infants to the elderly. We have a unique understanding of your special needs, both as a patient and as a person.
Professional eye care is an important aspect of your total health care and regular eye examinations can help to diagnose problems that if undetected could put your vision at risk. With routine eye examinations, conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal tears and more, can be detected and treated in the earliest stages when treatment
is most effective.
Our experienced staff understands that you are an individual with
questions and concerns. We take the time to explain your diagnosis and
treatment, making you feel as comfortable as possible. Not only are we
trained to care for your eyes, but we are committed to caring for you.
Appointments
To make an appointment, call the Eye Associates of Lancaster office that
is most convenient to you. Our receptionist will schedule your
appointment and answer any questions you may have. Be sure to tell the
receptionist if you have any special concerns or needs, so that she will
schedule adequate time for your appointment. For most appointments, you
should allow an hour to an hour-and-a-half.
Cancellations
If you must cancel your appointment, please call the office as soon as
possible. Your courtesy will make it possible for us to serve our
patients more efficiently.
When You Visit
If you are coming for a first visit or for an eye examination with
dilation, please allow extra time. Normally, we use eye drops to dilate
the eyes which allows for a complete and thorough examination. These
drops may temporarily blur your vision and make your eyes sensitive to
light. You may want to bring sunglasses with you and make arrangements
for someone to drive you home. Be sure to bring your most recent pair of
glasses with you.

* Emergencies *
In case of an emergency that occurs outside of regular office hours,
call the office and our medical answering service will contact the doctor on
call. If you cannot reach the physician and it is an extreme emergency,
such as trauma, bleeding, infection, or severe pain, report to the
Emergency Room of Lancaster General Hospital and a doctor will
be on call.
